Our Ministry Vision

Our vision is to see existing fellowships of believers grow into vibrant Manya churches with believers who are growing in their relationship with God and sharing their faith with their Muslim family and neighbors. We would also like to see the SIM related Evangelical Church Union of Liberia (ECUL) embrace these new believers and bring them into the broader body of Christ.

Much of John-Mark's time is taken up with Bible translation, and now the books of Genesis and Matthew are in their final stages of editing. We hope to record these books of the Bible along with other scripture resources to be distributed over cell phones and solar audio players. To equip the Manya church, John-Mark also works to train believers in oral strategies like Bible storying. There is also a great interest in mother-tongue literacy, and we are exploring the possibility of starting a literacy program in the Manya language.

In addition to her work in the home, Sara is working on learning the Manya language and is always looking for ways to reach out and bring hope, encouragement and counsel to those around her.
